Direct sourcing allows consumers to know with confidence where their coffee comes from. More importantly, it enables us to build long-term relationships with farmers—sharing market trends, exchanging industry insights, and gradually raising quality together. 過去十年間,mojo 在部分中美洲產區的採購,選擇與值得信任的貿易商合作—— 我們仍然親自走進莊園、面對面溝通,只是用一種更務實、 也更長久的方式,讓關係得以成立。
在台灣咖啡上,mojo 則走得更徹底。我們實踐 100% 直接貿易的採購比例。
不只是把來源說清楚,而是親自參與每一次讓彼此變得更好的決策。

Direct trade has always been the ideal vision in the specialty coffee world. However, for most coffee shops with modest volumes, achieving full direct trade is not something that can be done overnight. Over the past decade, for our Central American sourcing, mojo has chosen to work with trustworthy traders—we still visit farms in person and communicate face-to-face, but in a more pragmatic and sustainable way that allows relationships to flourish. With Taiwanese coffee, mojo goes even further. We practice 100% direct trade sourcing. It's not just about transparency of origin, but about personally participating in every decision that makes both sides better.

When Sourcing Becomes a Practice

2025 年 3 月,mojo 與鄒族部落的咖啡莊園共同舉辦了第一屆 Best of Cou,讓阿里山與鄒族咖啡,首次站上前所未有的關注焦點。這項行動,也獲選為 La Vie「2025 台灣創造力 100」中「社會實踐」類別的得獎者。對我們而言,這不是一個句點,而是一段關係被看見的開始。

In March 2025, mojo co-hosted the first Best of Cou with coffee farms in Cou indigenous communities, bringing Alishan and Cou coffee into unprecedented spotlight for the first time. This initiative was also selected as a winner in the "Social Practice" category of La Vie's "Taiwan Creativity 100 in 2025." For us, this is not an ending, but the beginning of a relationship being seen.
